We are currently seeking skilled heavy machine operators who are ready to contribute to our projects from day one. About the Role In this position, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of heavy machinery, including excavators, loaders, and rollers. Your daily tasks will involve performing pre-start checks and promptly reporting any mechanical issues, ensuring that all operations adhere to site plans and supervisor instructions. When not operating machinery, you will assist with general labor duties as needed. Maintaining strict health and safety standards is paramount in our work environment. Days & Hours Our typical work schedule is Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend work based on client requirements. Standard working hours are from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM, and your work location may vary throughout the Hutt Valley. Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need the following: - A Class 4 license with WTR endorsement - Proven experience in operating heavy machinery - A good level of physical fitness and readiness to engage in various tasks - The ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and a Ministry of Justice check - Flexibility to work on weekends when required - Strong awareness of health and safety protocols Benefits We offer competitive hourly rates that reflect your experience.
