About the Role
We are currently seeking a Graduate Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will support our Design Estimators and Design Managers by conducting power system studies, assisting with overhead and underground design work, performing regulatory analysis, and managing customer connection approvals. This position is ideal for someone who is eager to learn, develop their technical skills, and establish a strong foundation in the distribution industry.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following criteria:
- A Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering that is recognized by IPENZ
- A full New Zealand Driver’s License
- Up to 2 years of experience in the distribution industry (this is beneficial but not essential)
- Familiarity with load-flow software such as DIgSILENT PowerFactory
- Strong skills in mathematics, Excel, and Word
- Some exposure to project management
- High initiative and a willingness to learn, along with a positive attitude
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and capable of multitasking
- Creative thinking and good decision-making skills
