About the Role We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Glazier to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for cutting, fitting, installing, and repairing glass in various settings, including residential, commercial, and industrial environments. You will work with different types of glass and glazing systems, ensuring quality workmanship, precision, and safety at all times. Key Responsibilities - Measure, cut, and install glass for windows, doors, mirrors, skylights, and other structures. - Safely remove broken or damaged glass and replace it with new panes. - Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine glass requirements. - Fit glass into aluminum, timber, or steel frames. - Seal joints with silicone, putty, or other sealing compounds to ensure a secure fit. - Operate tools and machinery such as glass cutters, grinders, and polishing equipment. - Handle and transport glass safely, using appropriate lifting and safety gear. - Work on-site or in the workshop as required. - Follow all health and safety procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment and safe manual handling practices. Requirements - A minimum of three years of glazing experience is preferred. - Strong practical and problem-solving skills. - Ability to read and interpret plans or drawings. - Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship. - Physically fit with good hand-eye coordination. - A full driver's license is preferred. - Experience with double glazing, frameless glass, or commercial glazing is advantageous.
