About the Company
Fulton Hogan collaborates with Wellington Water in an alliance dedicated to enhancing three waters services across Greater Wellington. Our mission is to keep our communities healthy by safely delivering water services every day. About the Role
We are excited to announce multiple roles available across the Wellington region, specifically in Lower Hutt, Porirua, or Rongotai. Please indicate your preferred location in your application.
In this position, you will play a vital role in maintaining our most valuable assets: water, health, and the environment. Our water teams are essential in ensuring a consistent supply of quality water with minimal disruptions to our communities. Each day presents unique challenges as you engage in a variety of planned and reactive work, including:
- Installing and repairing water connections on all sizes of mains
- Ensuring all tasks are completed in line with trade practices
- Flushing and charging water mains
- Collaborating with various teams and contractors to achieve successful outcomes

Requirements
To thrive in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Experience in the water or civil/construction industry, with demonstrated proficiency in using hand tools, small plant, and machinery
- Competence in using technology (such as an iPad or tablet) for recording information
- A strong understanding of and commitment to workplace health and safety
- A full, clean driver's license (minimum Class 1); Class 2 and W, T, F endorsements are advantageous
- First Aid, Confined Spaces, and Working at Heights certifications are beneficial
- A reliable and hardworking attitude
- Flexibility to work on a roster that includes shift work and on-call duties
