About the Role
We are seeking a proactive Case Management Coordinator to join our dedicated team at Waikato Hospital on a fixed-term basis for six months. This full-time position involves 80 hours per fortnight and is crucial in shaping the support we provide to our employees, ensuring they can stay at work or return safely and sustainably. You will thrive in a collaborative environment that prioritizes quality care, continuous improvement, and meaningful engagement with both internal and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Liaise effectively with ACC and our Third-Party Administrator (TPA) to facilitate smooth case progression.
- Lead the development and implementation of key programs aimed at supporting staff wellbeing and recovery.
- Provide a high-quality, people-centered case management service, focusing on achieving the best outcomes.
- Collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders to foster trust and build strong support networks.
- Contribute to ongoing service improvements through a quality-focused approach.

About Hamilton
Waikato Hospital is a major regional hospital located in Hamilton, New Zealand. As a leading tertiary teaching hospital, it serves as the regional hub for the Midland area, which includes the Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Lakes, Tairawhiti, and Taranaki districts. With approximately 722 inpatient beds, 22 operating theatres, and a dedicated outpatient clinic and procedure center, we offer comprehensive hospital services such as radiology, laboratory, and pharmacy. About You
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A minimum of five years of experience in an administration or coordination role.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Suite, including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Experience with electronic file management systems.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Excellent time management abilities, with a capacity to self-manage and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Experience in implementing the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi in practice.
