About the Company Tradestaff Global is a leading provider of skilled labor solutions, and we are currently seeking qualified and licensed plumbers with commercial experience to join our team at McMurdo Station in Antarctica for the upcoming summer season. About the Role We are looking for dedicated individuals who are ready for the challenge of working in an isolated environment. Deployments are expected to begin as soon as possible and will last until approximately March 2026. In this role, you will be involved in a significant commercial construction project, performing various plumbing tasks, including basic plumbing and repetitive duties. It is essential that you hold a current New Zealand Plumbing Licence. Requirements Please note that due to travel restrictions, only New Zealand and U.S. citizens with valid passports, who are currently living and working in New Zealand, are eligible to apply. Applicants must be willing to receive vaccinations for Flu, Tdap, and MMR. These positions are not 'fly in, fly out' roles; you will be stationed on-site for an extended period. The work schedule requires long hours, six days a week. Start dates are approximate and contingent on passing medical and dental assessments, obtaining security clearance, your notice period, and available ice flights. Candidates must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test, possess a Full Class 1 NZ Driver Licence, and have a clean criminal record. Benefits We offer a competitive compensation rate of $66.11 per hour on a contract basis, with payments made fortnightly in New Zealand dollars for a 54-hour workweek. We provide flights from any major New Zealand airport, food, shared accommodation, and travel insurance. All necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) will also be supplied.
