About the Role As a Baker, your key responsibilities will include: - Preparing and baking a variety of breads, pastries, and other baked goods according to established recipes and standards. - Ensuring consistent quality and presentation of all baked products. - Monitoring and maintaining inventory levels to meet customer demand while minimizing waste. - Adhering to food safety and hygiene regulations to uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and safety. - Collaborating with fellow bakery team members to develop new recipes and products that align with customer preferences and market trends. Requirements To be considered for this position, you should meet the following qualifications and skills: - A minimum of two years of bakery experience in a commercial setting. - Completion of at least Year 1 of Level 3 NZ Trade Baking (Craft). - Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment. - A passion for baking and a creative approach to recipe development. - Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality products. - The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines. - Excellent communication and teamwork skills. - Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required.
