About the Role We are currently looking for experienced Class 5 Drivers for casual, tide-based work in Christchurch. In this role, you will operate modern DAF tipper trucks with truck and trailer setups. If you are safety-minded, reliable, and ready to start immediately, we encourage you to apply. What’s in it for You? - Competitive Pay: You will earn between $30 and $40 per hour. - Modern Fleet: You will drive brand-new DAF trucks, which do not have Road Ranger gearboxes. - Local Work: All work will be based in Christchurch, meaning you won’t have to worry about long hauls. - Day Shifts: Enjoy a work-life balance with 10-hour shifts from 5:00 am to 3:00 pm. - No Labour: This position focuses purely on driving, allowing you to concentrate on your skills. - Supportive Team: Join a company that values your health, well-being, and community involvement. Requirements We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria: - A valid and clean Class 5 driver's license. - Proven experience as a Class 5 driver, particularly in civil works; experience with bulk haulage and tipper trucks is highly advantageous. - Competence in backing and jackknife manoeuvres. - A strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive attitude. - Excellent communication skills, initiative, and attention to detail. - A Dangerous Goods (DG) endorsement is desirable but not essential. - Candidates must have New Zealand residency or valid New Zealand working rights.
