About the Role
We are excited to announce new opportunities for skilled digger operators to join our expanding team at Marsden Point. In this role, you will primarily operate diggers on board log vessels, ensuring the optimal placement of logs in the hold. Candidates with a forestry background, particularly those with experience in log grappling and log fleeting, will find this role especially suited to their skills.
This position offers permanent work with guaranteed minimum monthly hours. You will have the chance to enhance your training and career development, with opportunities to learn how to operate various types of heavy machinery. Flexibility is essential, as the role requires availability for a range of 12-hour shifts in a 24/7 environment, aligned with shipping schedules.
Requirements
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following essential requirements:
- Experience operating diggers in a forestry environment
- A minimum full Class 1 license with T endorsement
- Experience in log handling
- Strong attention to detail
- A commitment to health and safety practices
- A collaborative team player attitude
