About the Role We are currently seeking an experienced Estimator to join our client’s team. This role is essential for supporting the company's ongoing growth and success by delivering accurate and competitive quotes and pricing. The Estimator will oversee two team members and collaborate closely with the wider team to ensure that projects are effectively costed. Key Responsibilities In this position, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and timely estimates and quotes for civil and foundation projects. You will analyze project plans, specifications, and drawings to determine scope and requirements. You will work collaboratively with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to obtain pricing and ensure cost competitiveness. It will also be your responsibility to ensure that all costings and submissions meet company standards and deadlines. Additionally, you will monitor and update project cost databases while maintaining accurate records. Skills & Experience To be successful in this role, you should have proven experience as an Estimator in civil and foundation projects. A strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry practices is essential. Proficiency in estimation and costing is required, and experience with BuildXact software, while beneficial, is not mandatory. You will need strong communication and negotiation skills, allowing you to liaise confidently with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
