About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Automotive Technician to join our team at Keith Andrews Trucks Ltd. In this full-time position based in Whangarei, you will be essential in maintaining and repairing the diesel-powered vehicles that are vital to our operations. Your expertise will help us ensure that our business operates at peak performance.
What You'll Be Doing
In this role, your responsibilities will include diagnosing and repairing diesel engine faults and malfunctions. You will carry out scheduled servicing and maintenance on diesel trucks and heavy equipment, as well as troubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
We expect you to demonstrate a thorough understanding of diesel engine technology and its components. Providing exceptional customer service and effectively communicating with clients will also be key aspects of your role. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining detailed records of all work completed and contributing to a safe and efficient workshop environment.
What We're Looking For
We are looking for a qualified diesel automotive technician with a minimum of three years of experience. Strong technical skills and proficiency in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines are essential. You should possess excellent problem-solving abilities and have a keen attention to detail.
Good communication skills and a strong customer service orientation are important, as is a commitment to safety and compliance with industry regulations. The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team is also crucial.
