About the Role
We are currently seeking an Advanced Labourer to join our team in West Auckland, working with a prominent client in the Civil sector. This role requires a full Class 1 Drivers Licence, as the successful candidate will be responsible for planning, managing, and undertaking Stormwater and Wastewater network maintenance work according to contract specifications or individual instructions.
The maintenance work primarily focuses on essential assets including pipes, catch-pits, manholes, channels, inlets/outlets, and, when necessary, private assets. In this position, you will support Senior Drainlayers and other team members by assisting with site setup, material deliveries, arranging equipment rentals, and providing support in various other areas as needed. You will be part of a collaborative team environment alongside motivated and proactive individuals.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you should possess the following qualifications and attributes:
- Previous experience as a labourer
- An interest in stormwater work, drainlaying, or plumbing, with relevant experience being a significant advantage
- The ability to work effectively both in a team setting and independently
- Good physical fitness, as the role requires stamina for labor-intensive tasks
- A clean criminal history and a commitment to maintaining a drug-free workplace
- Eligibility to work in New Zealand, as this position requires an immediate start
