About the Role
We are currently seeking a Support Kaimahi/Centre Vehicle Driver to join our team on a full-time basis, working 40 hours per week from Monday to Friday. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe transportation of our tamariki, ensuring they arrive at the Centre and return home according to our established schedule.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting daily pick-ups and drop-offs for tamariki in a safe manner.
- Transporting tamariki to and from Centre excursions as needed, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Performing daily and monthly checks and maintenance on the vehicle as required.
- Ensuring that the vehicle register is signed each day by parents and that administrative tasks are completed and kept up to date.
- Acting as a liaison between whanau and Kaiako to facilitate effective communication.
- Maintaining a safe environment for the children in your care, adhering to all Health and Safety requirements.
- Operating the vehicle in a safe and lawful manner.
- Supporting the team and tamariki by covering lunch breaks in the learning environment and assisting with other tasks as needed.
Requirements
We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:
- A full and clean driver’s license.
- Confidence and patience in driving.
- A friendly and professional demeanor, with a passion for working with children.
- A strong commitment to child safety at all times.
- The ability to build and maintain positive professional relationships with individuals of all ages and backgrounds.
