We are currently seeking a motivated and friendly individual to join our team and assist in managing our Sushi/Bento Department. About the Role In this full-time position, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that we provide the St. Pierre's Experience to our customers. Your responsibilities will include customer service, food preparation, maintenance, cooking, and promoting our offerings. You will work closely with our team to maintain high standards of quality and safety in our kitchen and dining areas. Responsibilities Customer Service: You will be expected to provide exemplary customer service, upholding our principles and values in every customer interaction. Training and guidance will be provided to help you excel in this area. Food Preparation: You will learn and participate in the preparation and presentation of food, ensuring it meets our high standards. This may involve using machinery and handling knives, so following the manager’s instructions closely is essential. Maintenance: Maintaining equipment and facilities in optimal condition is vital. You will ensure everything is ready for use before cooking and report any issues to senior kitchen staff. Cooking: You will be involved in cooking various ingredients, including vegetables, meat, poultry, and seafood. This will be done under the supervision of senior cooking staff to ensure consistency and quality. Food Safety Program: You will help maintain cleanliness and hygiene in all areas, including the kitchen, dining area, and restrooms. Following cleaning schedules and food handling procedures is critical, and you may be required to understand essential food safety practices as mandated by the Ministry of Primary Industries. Promotion: Assisting in promoting our goods and services through sampling, suggestive selling, and other promotional activities will be part of your role. Teamwork & Training: Collaboration with your team is essential. You will help train new employees and contribute to staff meetings as needed. Incoming Goods: You may be responsible for receiving and checking incoming goods from suppliers, ensuring professionalism and courtesy in all interactions. Stock Monitoring: Assisting senior kitchen staff in maintaining appropriate stock levels is part of your duties. You will check the quality and quantity of ingredients and report any shortages. Other Responsibilities Constant Improvement: Striving for continuous improvement in your work quality and productivity is important. This will be considered during your performance reviews. Please note that job responsibilities may evolve over time to adapt to industry standards and the changing business environment. You agree to reasonable amendments as deemed necessary by the company. This is a permanent full-time position with over 30 hours per week. Flexibility in your working hours and days is required.
