About the Role We are seeking a Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Coordinator to join our Meadow Fresh dairy manufacturing site located in Longburn, Palmerston North. In this role, you will collaborate with the HSE Manager to foster a culture of safety throughout the site, ensuring compliance and upholding Goodman Fielder's commitment to safety. Your key responsibilities will include: - Developing and promoting HSE improvements by supporting the implementation of risk reduction initiatives. - Conducting safety training across the site, including safety inductions for new employees and contractors. - Performing safety walks and work site inspections, which includes hazard reporting and identification. - Conducting minor investigations of safety incidents or near-misses. - Coordinating the HSE Committee and maintaining health and safety documentation and registers. About You To excel in this role, you will be a dedicated HSE professional with a strong passion for safety and a commitment to fostering a safety-first culture. We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications and experience: - Previous experience in a Health, Safety, and Environmental role, along with an understanding of New Zealand Occupational Health and Safety regulations. - Relevant HSE certification or qualifications, or currently working towards them. - Experience in a high-risk environment or the manufacturing industry is advantageous. - Knowledge of risk assessment processes, including Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), as well as auditing experience.
