About the Role
We are looking for a Financial Controller to lead the financial function for our New Zealand operations. In this diverse role, you will play a vital part in driving strategic decision-making and ensuring financial integrity across all business aspects. Your expertise will be essential in maintaining financial health, analyzing performance, and implementing best practices to optimize financial processes.
Key responsibilities will include overseeing financial accounting, payroll, and accounts, while supporting best practices and financial analysis for operational decision-making. You will conduct thorough financial analyses to identify trends and areas for improvement, support the executive team in developing strategies for business growth and profitability, and provide strategic financial insights on our market approach.
Additionally, you will guide and review commercial contracts, ensuring that risks are managed effectively. Compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards will also be a critical aspect of your role. As a leader, you will mentor a team of finance and payroll staff to ensure optimum performance and best practices.
About You
To excel in this role, we are seeking candidates who are CA qualified and possess a proven track record in financial management. You should have at least three years of experience in a senior management accounting position, preferably within a corporate environment. A strong understanding of financial principles, regulations, and best practices is essential.
We value exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills that enable you to influence and collaborate effectively across all organizational levels. Proficiency in financial software and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel are also required.
