About the Role
As a Probation Officer, you will play a vital role in the community by working with individuals under our management and their families to address criminogenic behaviors and reduce the likelihood of reoffending. You will manage community-based sentences and orders, while also preparing reports for the Courts and the New Zealand Parole Board.
In this position, you will focus on fostering positive relationships and enhancing the wellbeing of those we serve. By treating individuals with respect and dignity, you will help them reintegrate into society and reduce their chances of returning to the justice system.

- Critical thinking skills and the ability to assess information effectively

Skills and Experience
- Strong communication skills that facilitate the development of effective working relationships
- Ability to produce clear, concise, and logical written communications
- Proficient in planning and organizing to ensure optimal use of resources
- Capacity to contribute knowledge and support within a team environment
Candidates must hold a full New Zealand Driver Licence and have the legal right to work in New Zealand without restrictions for a minimum of 24 months.
Benefits
The salary range for this position is between $70,956 and $91,307, depending on the skills and experience of the successful candidate.
