About the Role
We are currently seeking a Clinical Psychologist or Registered Psychologist with experience in an Infant, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (iCAMHS) or a related mental health setting.
In this role, you will work with infants, children, and adolescents facing moderate to severe mental health challenges. Your responsibilities will include providing psychological interventions and collaborating with various agencies, including community services, schools, general practitioners, and local Māori networks.
This position is a fixed term, part-time role at 0.8 Full-Time Equivalent (FTE), amounting to 64 hours per fortnight, from Monday to Friday. It is intended to cover parental leave for a duration of twelve months.
About the Team/Service/Location
iCAMHS is a regional service dedicated to supporting infants, children, and youth up to the age of 18 who are experiencing mental health disorders. Our multi-disciplinary teams consist of psychiatrists, mental health nurses, psychologists, occupational therapists, and social workers, all trained in a variety of treatment modalities.

About You
As a Clinical Psychologist, you should possess a passion for providing psychological interventions to infants, children, adolescents, and their families. You will have a solid understanding of attachment and bonding, as well as the effects of adverse childhood experiences on emotional wellbeing and healthy development.
You must hold current registration with the New Zealand Psychologists Board under the Health Practitioners Competency Assurance Act (2003), along with a current Annual Practising Certificate and relevant experience.
Your knowledge of contemporary research regarding significant mental health issues, trends, and psychological interventions for infants, children, adolescents, and families will be up-to-date. You will thrive in a collaborative team environment, contributing to a culture of openness, respect, and humor across disciplines. Building confidence, trust, and rapport with clients, their support networks, and other agencies is essential.
Candidates must be eligible to work in New Zealand or hold a valid New Zealand visa at the time of application.
