About the Role
In this role, you will work closely with the National Sales Manager to develop a comprehensive client relationship strategy and activity plan. Your primary responsibilities will include establishing and maintaining strong client relations, driving sales growth among existing clients, and pursuing new business opportunities.
You will be responsible for operational sales tasks such as managing purchase orders, responding to inquiries, and overseeing supply timeframes and expectations. Collaboration with our Production and Operations team will be crucial, as you will provide clients with relevant information and assist in troubleshooting any issues that arise.
Additionally, you will gather and process market and competitor intelligence, capture client and project information in our CRM system (Salesforce), and document site information for case studies and marketing purposes. Participation in trade shows and involvement in the Sales team's annual and quarterly strategy development will also be part of your role. You will assist in the ongoing evaluation and development of our sales processes and procedures.
Requirements
We are looking for candidates who are passionate about the Civil Infrastructure environment and enjoy working with diverse teams. You should be organized, proactive, and possess excellent attention to detail. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential, along with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn all aspects of our business.
You will benefit from being a creative thinker with a solution-oriented approach. Proficiency in the MS Office Suite, particularly Outlook, Excel, and Word, is preferred, as is experience with CRM systems for capturing information.
Experience Required
While experience in a Civil Construction environment is advantageous, it is not a strict requirement. We seek individuals with a proven track record in sales and account management. Existing contacts within the Civil and/or Drainage Contractors sector will be beneficial to your application.
