Our commitment to exceptional service and attention to detail sets us apart, making each event a unique celebration. We are currently looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Event Organizer to join our dedicated team. About the Role As our Event Organizer, you will be responsible for planning and executing a variety of exclusive events, including weddings, corporate retreats, and special celebrations. Your creativity, precision, and passion for hospitality will play a crucial role in bringing our guests' visions to life in this stunning setting. This is a permanent full-time position, requiring a commitment of at least 40 hours per week during regular business hours. Key Responsibilities You will lead the planning and execution of various events from concept to completion, ensuring each aligns with the client's vision and objectives. Your duties will include developing detailed event timelines, agendas, and to-do lists to guarantee all elements are in place before, during, and after each event. You will work closely with clients to understand their needs and preferences while providing excellent customer service by addressing queries and offering timely updates. Additionally, you will provide expert recommendations on event design, themes, catering, and entertainment to enhance the guest experience. You will source, coordinate, and manage event vendors, ensuring quality and value, negotiate contracts, and oversee payments. Your role will also involve managing event logistics, including transportation, guest accommodations, and on-island services. You will lead on-site operations, supervise the staff, and resolve any challenges that may arise during events to ensure a seamless experience for guests and clients. Collaboration will be key, as you will work with clients and the creative team to develop themes and unique elements that showcase the beauty of Slipper Island. You will assist in creating event itineraries, schedules, and layouts, as well as work with the marketing team to promote events through various channels. About You We are looking for candidates with at least a diploma in a relevant field such as tourism or business management, or a minimum of two years of experience in event planning, hospitality, or a related field. You should possess exceptional organizational and communication skills, be a creative problem solver with a keen eye for detail, and thrive in a dynamic, outdoor environment. A passion for creating amazing guest experiences is essential, as is a willingness to live on or travel frequently to Slipper Island. Benefits Joining our team offers you the opportunity to work in a breathtaking environment while creating memorable experiences for our guests. We provide a supportive work culture that values creativity and teamwork, along with competitive compensation and opportunities for professional growth. If you are ready to take on this exciting challenge and contribute to the magic of Slipper Island, we would love to hear from you.
