About the Role
We are currently seeking enthusiastic Mental Health Assistants to join our Acute Care Mental Health Inpatient Unit (Ward 21) at Palmerston North Hospital.
We have two types of opportunities available:
- A casual position that will require you to work on an as-needed basis, covering rostered and rotating duties.
- A full-time position that involves working 40 hours per week with rostered, rotating duties.

About You
We are looking for candidates who are:
- Passionate about mental health and recovery-focused care
- Experienced in mental health support work
- NZQA Health and Wellbeing Level 3 certified (or equivalent) - preferred
- Strong communicators and critical thinkers
- Motivated, reliable, and team-oriented
- Culturally responsive and consumer-focused
