About the Role:
We are seeking a Freight Planner who excels in problem-solving and enjoys the dynamic challenges of efficiently managing freight movements. In this key role, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating freight logistics while balancing customer expectations, driver availability, and operational efficiency. Each day presents new challenges, requiring you to think ahead, adjust plans on the fly, and devise smart solutions to any obstacles that may arise.

Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Proven experience in freight planning or transport operations.
- Familiarity with ICOS and/or other Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
- A strong problem-solving mindset with logical and lateral thinking abilities.
- Excellent knowledge of New Zealand geography.
- High attention to detail with strong accuracy and numeracy skills.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a calm, solutions-focused demeanor.
- Strong communication and time-management abilities.
- Confidence in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
