We are currently seeking a Bakery Manager to join our dynamic team and help elevate our bakery department. About the Role We are looking for a Bakery Manager who is eager to lead positive change and drive the success of our bakery. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a creative flair and a passion for customer service. In this hands-on role, you will inspire and manage a friendly team of six, overseeing all operations within the bakery department. Your responsibilities will include liaising with suppliers, managing stock control, ensuring sales and gross profit targets are met, monitoring sales performance, and controlling departmental costs. You will also oversee promotions and pricing programs, manage merchandising, handle rostering and staffing, and ensure compliance with our health and safety and food safety policies. Requirements We are looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications: - Experience in scratch bread baking. - Proficiency in making cakes, muffins, and pastries. - A keen eye for quality and an ability to create appealing displays. - Skills in planning and implementing production plans and promotions. - Creativity and ambition to establish our bakery as the go-to destination in Warkworth. - Flexibility with working hours and a willingness to start early. - Basic computer skills; experience with SAP and Excel is preferred, though full training will be provided. - Strong communication skills. - Physical fitness and retail bakery experience.
