About the Role
We are seeking enthusiastic Casual Bar Assistants to join our team at the NZDF Linton site in Manawatu. This role offers flexible hours, depending on business needs, allowing you to supplement your income while being part of a supportive team that treats everyone like family.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Providing responsible service of alcohol and professional customer service
- Responding to customer requests in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner
- Handling cash and EFTPOS transactions
- Assisting with bar operations, including preparing for service, taking orders, preparing drinks, and serving meals
- Conducting regular stocktaking and maintaining a clean and tidy bar area
Requirements
Our ideal candidate will be hardworking, have a friendly and outgoing personality, and possess a "can-do" attitude. You should have at least one year of experience in a similar role, be articulate, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously. While bar experience is advantageous, a passion for great food and exceptional customer service is essential. Additionally, holding food safety certificates (Unit Standard 167 and 168) is preferred, or you should be willing to train for them.
