About the Role We are excited to present a leadership opportunity for a Service Manager to join and oversee our Residential Youth MacLaurin Street Service in Blockhouse Bay. This role offers the chance to make a significant impact in the lives of young people facing considerable challenges by providing trauma-informed, person-centered care within a residential setting. As a Service Manager, you will lead and inspire a dedicated team of professionals, ensuring that our services meet the highest standards of care, safety, and effectiveness. You will collaborate closely with whanau, clinical teams, and external partners to achieve optimal outcomes for the young people in our care. Some Key Responsibilities: - Lead and support a multidisciplinary team delivering youth residential services. - Maintain a strong focus on wellbeing, safety, and positive outcomes for tangata whaiora. - Ensure services comply with contractual, quality, and clinical standards. - Foster collaborative relationships with whanau and external service providers. - Drive continuous improvement and innovation in service delivery. - Participate in recruitment, performance management, and staff development planning. - Ensure the residential setting operates within Health and Safety guidelines and budget parameters. About You To excel in this role, you will be a confident leader with a passion for youth wellbeing and a solid understanding of the impact of trauma-informed practices. You will possess: - A minimum of 2 years of experience leading teams in youth services or trauma-informed environments. - A relevant Level 7+ tertiary qualification in Nursing, Social Work, or Occupational Therapy, or an equivalent qualification. - Full registration and a current Annual Practising Certificate (APC) under the HPCA Act 2003 (e.g., Registered Nurse, Social Worker, Occupational Therapist, AOD Clinician). - Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. - A full, clean New Zealand driver's license.
