About the Role
We are currently seeking experienced Physiotherapists to join our team at Wairau Hospital in Blenheim. This role offers an opportunity to apply your physiotherapy skills and make a meaningful impact on the lives of our patients.
The first position is a permanent part-time role focused on outpatient services, primarily in musculoskeletal care. You will work 64 hours per fortnight (0.8 FTE) and participate in the weekend on-call roster.
The second position is a fixed-term full-time role that covers parental leave for 6 to 12 months. This role involves rotational work across various settings within the hospital, including medical, surgical, and rehabilitation wards, as well as community services. You will be required to work 80 hours per fortnight (1.0 FTE) and also participate in the weekend on-call roster.
In both roles, you will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to provide quality assessment, intervention, advice, and discharge planning through a patient-centered approach. Adaptability, resourcefulness, and flexibility will be essential to meet the needs of our service.
Working hours for both positions are Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with weekend on-call duties required.
About the Team/Service/Location
Our physiotherapy department at Wairau Hospital features well-equipped treatment areas, including a gym and hydrotherapy pool, and is located within an Allied Health Hub. The clinical inpatient areas encompass surgical, orthopaedics, medical, and rehabilitation wards, with in-reach to pediatrics, HDU, and the emergency department. Additionally, our busy outpatient department offers a variety of musculoskeletal individual and group opportunities, along with work involving neurological conditions and community outreach.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will need to be a New Zealand Registered Physiotherapist with comprehensive clinical assessment and problem-solving skills. You should possess the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, along with excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with health professionals and agencies. It is essential to be eligible to work in New Zealand or to hold a valid New Zealand work visa at the time of application.
