About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Electrical Fitter to join our team in Auckland. In this role, you will support the maintenance of high-voltage (HV) electrical equipment within the Vector network. Your work will take place in a substation environment, where you will be responsible for ensuring that equipment is safe, functional, and compliant. Your contributions will be vital in maintaining critical infrastructure that serves our communities. Key responsibilities include: - Conducting prescribed HV electrical work in substations (11kV–110kV) - Accurately scoping jobs and planning outages using the HVSPEC process - Maintaining high standards of safety, compliance, and reporting - Supporting operational delivery through effective problem-solving and quality workmanship - Collaborating with internal teams as well as external stakeholders such as suppliers, subcontractors, and clients - Working on a rotating shift schedule, which may include occasional weekend work About You: The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and attributes: - Experience as an Electrical Fitter with HV maintenance knowledge, particularly within the Vector network, along with HV switching experience being advantageous - A solid understanding of HV testing, instruments, and Vector standards - Full EWRB registration with a practicing licence - A valid driver's license with the ability to tow and back a trailer - Flexibility to work a rotating shift schedule, including weekends - A proactive team player who demonstrates initiative - A strong work ethic, reliability, and pride in delivering high-quality work - A willingness to learn new tasks - Excellent communication and customer service skills Benefits: In return for your contributions, we offer a competitive remuneration package that includes a tool of trade vehicle.
