Gore Main School is committed to fostering a supportive and collaborative environment for our students, staff, and community. Our Board of Trustees plays a vital role in guiding the direction of our school, and we are currently seeking a dedicated individual to join us as the Minute Secretary.
About the Role
In this role, you will assist our Board of Trustees by serving as the Minute Secretary. Your responsibilities will include preparing for and attending two meetings each term, accurately recording the minutes during these meetings, and ensuring that a final copy of the minutes is accessible for public viewing. Additionally, you will be responsible for filing all Board of Trustees documentation from each meeting.
This is a paid position that requires a commitment of 20 hours per term. It is important to note that the Minute Secretary is not a member of the board and does not have speaking rights or voting privileges during board meetings. By taking on this role, you will enable our board members to focus on their discussions and decision-making without the distraction of minute-taking. Training will be provided to ensure you are well-prepared for this important function.
Requirements
We are looking for candidates with experience in minute-taking and filing. Your ability to accurately capture discussions and decisions will be key to supporting our board effectively. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential for this position.
