About the Role
We are currently seeking a skilled Fitter and Turner to join our client's team in New Plymouth. In this role, you will be responsible for the following:
- Machining components to exact specifications using lathes, mills, and other precision tools.
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings with expertise.
- Assembling and fitting mechanical parts with accuracy and a strong attention to detail.
- Maintaining and repairing machinery and equipment, utilizing your keen observational skills.
- Collaborating with a top-tier team in a dynamic and safety-conscious workshop environment.
Requirements
To be successful in this position, we are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:
- A trade qualification as a Fitter and Turner (Level 4 or equivalent).
- Hands-on experience with machine tools and general engineering practices.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a meticulous eye for detail.
- A commitment to safety and high-quality workmanship.
- Experience in heavy engineering or custom fabrication would be an added advantage.
