About the Role
We are currently seeking a Technical Customer Support Specialist to join our Computers department in Timaru. This full-time position involves providing software and hardware support to our customers, both in our Techbay and at their homes, while also contributing to the growth of our Tech2Home business.
In this role, you will receive comprehensive training on our systems and machinery to ensure you are fully prepared to assist our customers effectively. Key responsibilities include:
- Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and providing solutions for desktop computers, laptops, tablets, smartphones, and other computer peripherals.
- Promoting Tech2Home services within the sales team, Techbay, and directly with customers.
- Processing returns and managing faulty products, ensuring they are dispatched for repair, replacement, or credit.
- Collaborating with suppliers and repair agents to facilitate prompt repairs or replacements for customers.
- Performing cashiering and sales duties as necessary.
About You
We are looking for a technically skilled individual who excels in customer service. The ideal candidate will possess the following attributes:
- A solid understanding of computers and related products.
- Strong customer service skills.
- A current, full NZ Driver's Licence.
- Retail experience is desirable.
- IT certifications or qualifications are a plus.
- Availability to work weekends and public holidays is essential.
