About the Role We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Architectural Technician to join our team. In this key role, you will lead projects from the initial concept stage through to construction documentation and consent. You will work closely with the Director and have the opportunity to contribute to a variety of projects, primarily within the industrial sector. Your responsibilities will include: - Producing detailed drawings and documentation from concept through to construction stage - Coordinating with consultants, contractors, and councils - Managing and navigating building consent and compliance processes - Contributing to a diverse range of exciting projects Requirements To be considered for this position, you should possess: - A minimum of 7 years of experience in the New Zealand building industry (we are open to candidates with slightly less experience if they are the right fit) - Strong knowledge of NZ Building Codes, Standards, and compliance pathways - Proficiency in ArchiCAD (version 28 preferred) - Experience with Twinmotion would be a plus - Knowledge of H1 compliance - A high standard of construction detailing and drawing output - Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills - Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with clients, contractors, consultants, and councils - The ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks effectively - A motivated, reliable, and collaborative attitude Benefits In return for your expertise, we offer: - A competitive salary package based on your experience - A supportive and flexible work environment - A varied role with long-term potential - The chance to be part of a small team where your input is valued, and your contributions make a difference This position is offered as a six-month contract, with strong potential for extension based on performance and business needs.
