About the Role
We are seeking experienced Casual Security Officers to join our dedicated team at Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora Te Matau a Maui, Hawke's Bay. In this dynamic and rewarding role, you will provide essential security services at Hastings Memorial Hospital and Napier Health Centre, operating 24/7.
This position is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in a career in law enforcement, corrections, or related fields. About the Team/Service/Location
You will be joining a supportive and expanding team of 26 professionals who are dedicated to creating a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors. We pride ourselves on fostering collaboration, trust, and development within our team.

About You
We are looking for individuals who are calm under pressure, proactive, and confident in handling situations independently. Your ability to connect with people and work collaboratively will be key to your success in this role.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience in security or a related field (healthcare or mental health experience is advantageous)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Knowledge of or willingness to learn basic computer skills
- Medical and physical fitness suitable for the role
- A current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
- The ability to obtain a Security Guard License (COA)
