About the Role
We are seeking an organized and proactive individual to join our team in a key leadership role within our dairy operations. This position will involve dispatching trucks, supervising a team of drivers, and ensuring a seamless dairy collection process. The successful candidate will be instrumental in upholding our high standards of compliance and operational excellence.

Work Pattern
This is a full-time, permanent role with a regular rotating roster that includes both dayshift and nightshift. The schedule consists of two days on dayshift, followed by two nights on nightshift, and then four days off. Average shifts range from 10 to 12 hours, and flexibility is required to meet business and seasonal demands.
Requirements
We are looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Experience in operations: A solid background in the transport industry, particularly in dispatching, scheduling, and team leadership.
- Leadership skills: The ability to inspire and motivate teams to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Customer focus: A commitment to providing efficient and professional service to ensure client satisfaction.
- Communication skills: Strong interpersonal skills for effective interaction with team members, clients, and internal contacts.
- Transport sector knowledge: Familiarity with logistics and transport operations.
- Health and safety awareness: A commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and leading by example.
- Financial acumen: Comfort in managing budgets and ensuring operational efficiency.
- Local knowledge: Familiarity with the Canterbury and South Canterbury regions is a plus.
