About the Company We are a progressive dairy farming business committed to animal and people welfare. The nearest town is Hororata, which is conveniently located only five minutes away. About the Role We are currently seeking two competent calf rearers for the 2025 calving season. This position is well-suited for couples, but we welcome applicants from all backgrounds. The role involves feeding all calves born on our 1,800-cow farm, which is managed through two dedicated sheds: one for replacement heifers and another for bobby calves. As the heifer calves reach a specified age, you will be responsible for moving them outdoors and feeding them using a side-by-side vehicle and calfateria. Candidates must be physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions. It is essential that you possess prior experience on a farm, hold a current driver's license, and have the necessary visa to work in this capacity. The ability to follow procedures closely and work independently is crucial. Requirements - Previous experience on a farm is required - Current driver's license - Valid work visa - Physical fitness and ability to work outdoors - Capability to follow procedures and work independently - Own transportation is necessary as accommodation is located five minutes from the farm Benefits We offer both single and shared accommodation options for our team members.
