About the Role
We are currently seeking motivated individuals to join our team in Islington for a temp to perm opportunity. In this role, you will be working in refrigerated and frozen environments as part of a close-knit team. We value hard work and also believe in creating a fun atmosphere where team members can enjoy their time at work.
This position involves picking, loading, and unloading linehaul trucks using a counterbalance forklift. Heavy lifting will be required, so candidates should be prepared for physical demands. The work schedule is Monday to Friday from 1:00 PM to 9:30 PM, with alternate Sundays from 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you should meet the following criteria:
- Hold a current OSH Certificate
- Be fit and capable of lifting weights between 15 to 25 kg
- Have experience operating a counterbalance forklift for loading and unloading inter-island linehaul hard sider trucks, with a solid understanding of weight distribution requirements
- Possess previous warehousing experience, ideally within food distribution or a cold environment
