    About the Company We are a dedicated team specializing in landscaping construction services, committed to transforming both large and small landscapes. Our projects range from commercial properties and public spaces to residential backyards and expansive garden landscapes. We take pride in creating beautiful outdoor environments that enhance our clients' spaces in Marlborough. About the Role We are currently seeking a permanent, full-time Foreman / Second-in-Charge (2IC) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will supervise and coordinate the work of our crew, ensuring that projects are executed efficiently and to a high standard. This position is hands-on, requiring you to utilize your practical and technical skills while also managing, organizing, and motivating your team. As part of your responsibilities, you will engage in a variety of tasks such as paving, timber construction (including decking and fencing), concrete work, brickwork, blockwork, installation of irrigation systems, playground equipment, and the planting of trees and shrubs. You will enjoy the variety of work and the opportunity to contribute to creating stunning outdoor spaces. We welcome candidates who have a background in construction, landscaping, or carpentry. If you have experience managing teams and possess the ability to inspire and develop your staff, we encourage you to apply. Requirements Ideal candidates will possess the following skills and attributes: - A formal qualification in landscaping, carpentry, or civil engineering is preferred. - Previous experience on residential and commercial construction sites. - A Full Class 1 Driver’s License is required; a Class 2 and WTR (wheeled, tracked, and roller) license would be advantageous. - A high level of physical fitness and reliability. - Strong ability to manage a site and supervise staff effectively. - Excellent communication skills. - A genuine desire to develop leadership capabilities.
