Class 2 Driver - Food & Beverage

About the Company We are a busy, locally owned food and beverage wholesaler dedicated to providing essential supplies to our customers. About the Role We are excited to announce that we have recently secured a new contract to deliver food to local daycares. To support this initiative, we are seeking a dedicated and diligent driver who understands the importance of delivering around young children. In this role, you will be responsible for driving from Monday to Wednesday, with hours typically from 6:00 AM to around 2:30 PM, depending on when your deliveries are complete. Additionally, you will also serve our other customers on Saturdays from 5:00 AM to approximately 2:00 PM. Requirements We are looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications: - Excellent customer service skills; you should be friendly, helpful, and reliable. - Good verbal communication skills in English. - A clean Class 2 driver's license along with solid driving and delivery experience. - Physical fitness, as lifting items over 25 kg will be part of your daily routine. - Strong references and a solid attendance record. - A team player mentality with a proactive "let's get it done" attitude. - Respect for health and safety policies, as well as consideration for teammates and customers. Please note that applicants must have the legal right to work in New Zealand. As the role may involve delivery to a correctional facility, candidates must be able to pass a Ministry of Justice audit.
