About the Role We are currently seeking Trades Assistants to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to electrical systems. Your work will involve reviewing electrical layouts to ensure compliance with electrical and fire codes, installing and testing systems, and addressing any issues that may arise. You will collaborate closely with our Leading Hand, Supervisor, or Manager to ensure that all equipment builds meet the required standards in terms of time, cost, and quality. Additionally, you will monitor the progress of your work and communicate any delays or challenges. Quality inspection and adherence to safety policies are crucial components of this role, and you will also participate as a member of the marine team and contribute to our wider organizational goals. Requirements To be successful in this position, we prefer candidates who have at least one year of relevant experience or a qualification equivalent to NZQF Level 1, although this is not mandatory. Essential skills and qualities include: - A friendly demeanor with strong time management skills and a solid work ethic - A commitment to learning and developing your skills within the industry - A sound understanding of health and safety procedures - Reliability and a strong work ethic Flexibility is important, as you may be required to work in various locations across New Zealand, including Auckland, Northland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Hawkes Bay, Taranaki, Gisborne, Whanganui-Manawatu, Wellington, Marlborough, Nelson-Tasman, Canterbury, West Coast, Otago, and Southland. Benefits We offer competitive pay ranging from a minimum of $26.00 to a maximum of $40.00 per hour. Additionally, we guarantee a minimum of 30 hours of work each week.
