About the Role We are seeking an experienced Supervisor to join our night team in Putaruru. This full-time position requires a minimum commitment of 40 hours per week on the night shift. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working both hands-on with the team and in an office environment. In this role, you will lead your team to ensure that the night shift operates smoothly while adhering to our customers' specifications and maintaining a focus on premium customer service. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following: - Daily allocation of work tasks and staffing requirements - Managing and completing the freight sort, supporting as needed to ensure timely presentation of freight for drivers - Ensuring all freight is delivered to the correct destination and in perfect condition - Proactively solving challenges and adapting to changing situations - Coaching, training, and developing employees - Maintaining compliance with Health and Safety guidelines and reporting any incidents - Delivering freight in trucks as required Requirements - A minimum of 1 year of proven leadership and training experience, preferably within the chilled and frozen transport industry - Strong knowledge and understanding of MPI and NZTA regulations - Ability to commit to full-time night shift work - An OSH approved Forklift License with a minimum of 3 years of counterbalance forklift experience - At least 3 years of experience loading hard-sided trucks - Proficiency in using the Cortex360 GPS system - Experience with the Hitrack Transport Management System (TMS) - A Class 4 driving license is advantageous Benefits At Big Chill, we offer a modern and well-maintained work environment along with company vehicles.
