About the Role As a full-time WoF Automotive Technician at VTNZ Timaru, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and reliability of vehicles in our community. We offer a competitive remuneration package with an hourly rate ranging from $33 to $40. Requirements We are looking for an ideal candidate who is not only a skilled mechanic but also pays attention to detail and possesses a sociable, engaging personality. Your ability to build rapport with customers is essential, and you should be available to work 40 hours per week, including some rostered weekends. While having a WoF Authority is preferred, it is not mandatory. If you do not have this qualification, we can assist you in obtaining it at our training centre, provided you have at least 4 years of full-time experience in repairs and maintenance related to the safety aspects of light on-road motor vehicles. Additionally, a minimum Class 1 New Zealand driver's license or equivalent is required. If you hold a Level 4 qualification or higher in Automotive Engineering, we can reduce the experience requirement to 3 years.
