About the Role
We are seeking a Chef de Partie to join our team at Forsyth Barr Stadium in Dunedin. In this permanent, full-time position, you will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and serving high-quality food. Your role will involve ensuring that all tasks are carried out in compliance with Health and Safety and Food Safety regulations.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing, cooking, and presenting food to the highest standards.
- Assembling and preparing ingredients such as dairy, dry goods, fruits, vegetables, meats, seafood, and poultry.
- Maintaining quality control and ensuring consumer satisfaction by exceeding expectations.
- Receiving and storing kitchen supplies while ensuring proper rotation and maintenance.
- Cleaning and maintaining kitchen premises, including equipment and surfaces, while appropriately handling waste and linen.
About You
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and attributes:
- NZQA Level 4 Certificate in Cookery or an equivalent qualification.
- Previous experience in a similar cooking environment.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor.
- A team player who can also work autonomously.
- Physically fit, reliable, and able to pass a police clearance.
