About the Role
We are currently seeking a suitably experienced Senior Driller to join our team based in Pukekohe. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that contribute to the successful execution of drilling projects. Your key responsibilities will include organizing all equipment and stock for daily operations, operating the drill rig and ancillary equipment, and supervising and training Driller Assistants.
You will also be expected to lead on-site activities, ensuring that all health and safety policies are strictly adhered to. Additionally, you will document all time spent on tasks, along with any technical information, consumables, and equipment used during the projects.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates with the following qualifications and experience:
- Experience operating drilling rigs, particularly in Geotechnical Drilling with a focus on Rotary Coring.
- Familiarity with Cone Penetration Testing (CPT), Dilatometer Testing (DMT), and Seismic Testing.
- Experience with water or barge work is an advantage.
- A good level of physical fitness and a willingness to work outdoors.
- Preparedness to travel for exciting and challenging work assignments.
This is a full-time position with ordinary hours of 40 hours per week. The successful candidate will receive a competitive hourly rate ranging from $35 to $40.
