About the Company
We are a dynamic concrete operation based in Longburn, Palmerston North, and we are currently seeking an experienced Concrete Placer and Finisher to join our dedicated team. As we prepare for a strong workflow forecast in the New Year, starting in late January, we are excited to welcome a new member to our small but cohesive crew.
About the Role
In this role, you will be engaged in a variety of tasks that include concrete placing, finishing, and general hands-on concrete work. You will work primarily in an outdoor, on-site environment, contributing to projects that range from residential and commercial to rural and decorative concrete. Your responsibilities will also involve supporting our skilled team in meeting production and quality standards while adhering to health and safety procedures at all times.
Hours of Work
Our working hours are as follows:
Monday to Thursday: 7:30 am - 4:30 pm
Friday: 7:30 am - 3:30 pm (early finish)
Occasional Saturdays: Half-day as required

What You'll Need
To be successful in this position, you will need:
- Proven experience in concrete placing and finishing
- A strong physical capability to perform hands-on work
- A minimum Class 1 Restricted or Full New Zealand driver licence
- Experience in a site or precast concrete environment (preferred)
- A concrete construction ticket or relevant qualifications (advantage)
- The ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and Ministry of Justice (MOJ) check
We encourage our staff to use their own tools, such as hammers, tape measures, and aprons. Initially, these can be borrowed, with the potential for an allowance if you transition to a permanent position.
