This role is integral to ensuring the smooth operation of our four luxury restaurants and our functions kitchen. We pride ourselves on delivering a tailored five-star dining experience, whether during a bustling breakfast service or through innovative cuisine in our upscale restaurants. As a Food Trade Assistant, you will assist our chefs with food preparation, ensuring attention to detail and maintaining the highest cleanliness standards while adhering to food and hygiene regulations. Your contributions will help create unforgettable memories for our guests. Requirements To be successful in this role, we prefer candidates with at least one year of experience in a similar environment or a relevant New Zealand Qualifications and Credentials Framework (NZQCF) Level 4 qualification. Key qualifications and skills include: - Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills - A passion for service delivery and the hospitality industry - A strong commitment to teamwork with a hands-on approach and a "can do" attitude - Flexibility to work across all kitchen departments, including pastry and bakery - A pleasant and tidy appearance - Enthusiasm for learning new skills in a busy kitchen environment - Ability to build rapport with both team members and guests - A valid driver's license is preferable due to our location in Arrowtown and varying shift patterns Location: Arrowtown, Queenstown Hours: Full-time permanent (30-40 hours per week guaranteed) Pay Banding: $27.50 - $28.50 per hour, depending on experience Benefits At Millbrook Resort, we believe that our people are our greatest asset, and we take pride in rewarding our hardworking team members.
