About the Role
We are currently looking for a skilled Excavator Operator to join our Civil & Drainage Division team in Invercargill. In this role, you will be responsible for installing culverts, constructing large-diameter pipe installations, undertaking deep excavations, and working around existing services. You will also handle various aspects of drainage works.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of experience in a similar role and a proven track record of managing people and machinery operations. We value a hardworking, 'can-do' attitude and seek someone who is eager to contribute and complete tasks efficiently. You should be comfortable working both in a team setting and independently.
Requirements
To be considered for this position, candidates should meet the following criteria:
- Previous experience in the civil contracting industry
- A Class 2 license with WTR endorsements
- Ability to maintain and care for plant and machinery
- A tidy, energetic, and enthusiastic demeanor, along with strong communication skills
- Capacity to pass a pre-employment drug test
