About the Role We are currently seeking a dedicated individual to join our team at the Gisborne Warehouse in a full-time capacity. This role is integral to our warehouse operations, where you will assist with customer queries, stock movement, and storage. Key responsibilities include: - Performing all receiving, storage, delivery, and paperwork procedures efficiently while assisting with stock movements. - Providing excellent service to customers, including promptly serving those picking up goods from the warehouse and managing phone inquiries. - Assisting with stock movements, which may involve driving the shuttle truck as needed. - Unloading trucks and, when applicable, loading goods into customers' vehicles. - Adhering to safe work practices during heavy lifting, operating machinery and vehicles, and working at heights. - Maintaining a strong focus on health and safety, ensuring compliance with all relevant guidelines. - Assisting with stocktake preparation and execution, including being available for the duration of stocktake if requested. About You We are looking for candidates with the following attributes: - Physical ability to assist with manual handling tasks. - Basic computer skills, along with strong communication and interpersonal abilities. - A practical understanding of health and safety guidelines and procedures, particularly regarding manual handling and following instructions. - Customer service or warehouse experience is desirable. - A current, full New Zealand Driver’s Licence is also desirable.
