About the Role
We are currently seeking a Banking Operations Officer to join our team in Invercargill on a fixed-term basis. This role offers a pathway to a career in banking and may be suitable for recent graduates.
In this position, you will be responsible for:
- Providing excellent customer service to our internal customers, which includes the SBS Bank branch network and members, through a centralized administrative support service.
- Liaising with solicitors to ensure a clear understanding and acceptance of SBS requirements.
- Actioning requests from external parties.
- Providing solutions for various SBS Bank procedures and system-related issues.
- Building collaborative working relationships with all customers and team members.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to bring:
- Competency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Previous experience in a banking or financial environment is an advantage, though not required.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage urgent and sudden changes in workflow.
- Initiative, enthusiasm, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize workloads.

This role is fixed-term for up to 12 months and is full-time, requiring 37.5 hours a week from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday.
