We are currently seeking two Sonographers to join our dedicated team at Nelson Hospital.
About the Role
In the role of Sonographer, you will be responsible for providing a safe and efficient ultrasound service within a clinical environment. This includes conducting full examinations and recommending appropriate techniques to enhance patient care.
We have two permanent part-time positions available: one for 56 hours per fortnight (0.7 FTE) and another for 32 hours per fortnight (0.4 FTE), both based at Nelson Hospital. The working hours are flexible, ranging from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, with rostered and rotating shifts, and on-call duties are required.

About You
We are looking for a Sonographer who possesses:
- Experience in general, vascular, upper abdomen, obstetric, gynecologic, and musculoskeletal ultrasound.
- New Zealand registration and a current annual practicing certificate in ultrasound.
- Strong technical skills and knowledge in the field.
- Well-developed communication and critical thinking abilities.
- A commitment to family-centered care and quality healthcare.
- The capacity to work both independently and as part of a small team.
- Adaptability to a constantly changing environment.
Candidates must be eligible to work in New Zealand or hold a valid New Zealand visa at the time of application.
