About the Role We are currently seeking experienced Carpenters to join our team in Wellington. This position offers a variety of carpentry opportunities in both residential and commercial sectors. Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need: - Experience in residential, commercial, and civil carpentry - Proficiency in shuttering joinery, including steel-tying - Skills and experience in first, second, and final fix carpentry - The ability to interpret and work from drawings and specifications to determine materials, dimensions, and installation procedures - Knowledge of framework and roof framing, laying sub-flooring and floorboards, and fitting exterior wall cladding, as well as door and window frames - Experience with concrete formwork is advantageous, but not essential - Familiarity with shop fit-outs is preferred, though not mandatory - Competence in using various woodworking machinery, such as jigsaws, planers, jointers, routers, and other hand tools - The ability to cut, shape, and fix panels, plasterboard, timbers, Perspex, and other materials Ideally, candidates will also possess: - A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience - Trade qualifications (preferred, but experience may substitute for formal qualifications) - Their own tools - Reliable transport and a relevant driver’s license - At least 2 work references - A strong commitment to health and safety - The ability to pass a pre-employment drug test Benefits We offer competitive pay rates ranging from $30 to $38 per hour, based on experience, with a guaranteed minimum of 30 hours of work per week.
