About the Role
We are currently seeking a New Zealand Registered Medical Imaging Technologist (MIT) to join our enthusiastic and professional Radiology team at Rotorua Hospital in the Bay of Plenty. This position is ideal for both experienced MITs and new graduates. In this role, you will participate in our out-of-hours evening and weekend shift roster, providing overnight coverage through an on-call service.
About the Team/Service/Location
Our Rotorua Radiology department is equipped with modern facilities, including four digital radiography (DR) rooms, two DR mobiles, two flat panel C-arms, as well as digital fluoroscopy, CT, MRI, and ultrasound services. We pride ourselves on maintaining a friendly and social team atmosphere, ensuring a positive working environment for all staff.
As a member of our team, you will work across the General X-ray Department and participate in the shift and on-call roster. Requirements
To be considered for this position, you must hold a current Annual Practicing Certificate or have applied for registration with the New Zealand Medical Radiations Technologists Board. We are looking for a good team player who is friendly, approachable, and flexible, with the ability to work well under pressure and communicate effectively with colleagues.
You should be capable of working autonomously and independently while demonstrating strong critical thinking skills. A commitment to ongoing professional development and a passion for the role is essential. While CT experience is advantageous, it is not a requirement.
